The internationalization of SMEs has become a fundamental strategy to guarantee their growth, competitiveness and survival in the current economic environment. Aware of this scenario, more and more smaller companies are choosing to expand internationally. However, making the leap requires more than just ambition: it requires knowledge, planning, and resources.

With that objective, the SME Internationalization Program, This is a completely free initiative promoted by Mainjobs in collaboration with the State Foundation for Employment Training (FUNDAE) and financed with European funds. Its mission is clear: to help Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises access new markets through specialized training and strategic advice.

The program combines two essential components:

  1. Online training courses, brief and practical, designed so that any professional can complete them in a few weeks.
  2. Personalized consulting, with experts who guide each company in creating a realistic and tailored internationalization plan.

The topics cover everything from foreign market analysis, strategic planning, international marketing, to logistics management and legal aspects related to exporting

Which companies can access?

To participate, the company must belong to one of the five sectors defined as priorities in the program. These are:

  • Transport and logistics
  • Finance and insurance
  • Health
  • Services (others)
  • Large distribution

Each sector has specific CNAE codes assigned, so it is recommended to consult the list available on the program's website to verify eligibility.

Internationalization of SMEs with European support

The program is fully funded through the funds NextGenerationEU, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This means that both training and advice are free of charge for companies.

Thanks to this funding, SMEs can take a key step towards internationalization without committing financial resources that normally hinder this type of process.

How to register?

Interested companies can access it through the official website:

Why invest in internationalization?

Expanding internationally allows SMEs to reduce their dependence on the local market, take advantage of new business opportunities, and strengthen their economic resilience. Furthermore, it improves brand image and facilitates innovation by connecting with different markets and customers.
